The Regional Council, on the proposal of the councilor for maritime state property Marco Scajola, has renewed the possibility for coastal municipalities to issue temporary concessions for the extraordinary occupation of maritime state property spaces in order to expand dehors up to 31 December 2024.
The goal is to allow operators to tourist-seaside and commercial sector to be able to carry out their business safely while maintaining personal distancing from customers.
“It is an extension that, as a regional administration, we strongly wanted to guarantee first and foremost the safety of our citizens and, at the same time, a better use of the spaces in the premises – comments the regional councilor Marco Scajola-. Enlargement is also important to support employment and our activities. Tourism is one of the driving forces of the regional economy and this measure is a commitment to offer better hospitality and new job opportunities to both those who do business and those seeking employment. Even in the training field, we are qualifying more and more workers in the sector through our courses to achieve constant growth that leads to a higher quality of the tourist offer. It is a synergistic work that we are underlining with this act."
