Genoa, the new headquarters of the employment center reopens Valpolcevera

The completely renovated Valpocevera Employment Center in Genoa reopened to the public today, at its headquarters in Via Teglia 8A.

At present, there are 13 Employment Centres in Liguria., which will become 14 upon completion of the works: the interventions have already been completed also in the Ventimiglia, Albenga, Chiavari and Sarzana offices, while some renovations are underway, such as in the Valbisagno office; other renovations have started a few months ago, such as the restyling in the Cpi and Targeted Placement office in Genoa Center which should end at the end of September.

Maintenance interventions, regulatory compliance and upgrading of the premises Valpolcevera employment center began with the delivery of the construction site in December 2022 to the winning company TCM Srl of Genoa. The dedicated spaces in via Teglia, made available by the Municipality of Genoa through a free loan for use, are included within the complex of the Gastaldi-Abba school and have a total surface area of ​​approximately 700 m², distributed over four floors connected by an internal staircase. Access to the Employment Center is on the ground floor, easily accessible and with excellent visibility.

Jobs, whose total investment was equal to 197 thousand euros, they predicted the rehabilitation of some areas affected by significant infiltration phenomena through the construction of masonry and finishing works and the renewal of windows and doors; the functional enhancement of the building with the standardization of the distribution and graphic layout in congruity with the other Employment Centers and the bringing into compliance, through the new construction, of the electrical, IT and fire prevention systems.

The Via Teglia Employment Center in its new configuration has 23 workstations available distributed over 4 floors, a training/conference room on the ground floor and a meeting room on the first floor. “We are proceeding with the total renovation of all our Employment Centres - Said the regional councilor for Labor and Active Employment Policies - I would like to remind all interested parties that the 'Io Centro' web app has also been active for some time, with which you can interact with the nearest employment center and that using the Spid you can access a variety of more personalized services such as rapid and secure exchange of documents, viewing of appointments and events specific to your job search journey".

The Employment Centers are also the locations for the implementation of the ministerial program Guarantee of Workers' Employability  started in July 2022 and which, as of May 2, 2024, sees 42.300 users taken in charge in Liguria with approximately 33.800 already included in active policy paths and 13.650 enrolled in a training course of which over 8.859 have already completed positively. Of the 42.300 users taken in charge, over 2.300 are referred to the Valpolcevera office.
