Genoa: new electronic health record launched to consult health documents quickly and easily.
As envisaged by the Pnrr, the strengthening of the Electronic Health Record has begun, a single point of access and collection of health and social-health documents for all citizens.
The Electronic Health Record is the tool through which citizens can trace and consult the history of their health life, sharing it with professionals to guarantee more effective and efficient services.
With an event that took place in the Sala del Maggior Consiglio of Palazzo Ducale, in Genoa, the objectives and obligations of the public administration and professionals of the regional health system were illustrated: among these, the creation, implementation and commissioning of a central register for digital documents and an interoperability and services platform that allows for the consultation of documents with extreme ease.
At the conference, the training activities for the three-year period 2024-2026 were also formally launched.
"It deals with – explains Angelo Gratarola, health councillor of the Liguria Region – of a fundamental tool for the citizen who will have his medical history at his disposal in an increasingly widespread way, through a single tool, with digital healthcare data and documents, with services provided by public and private providers. At the same time, it is a fundamental tool for professionals who take care of a patient, without the need for the patient to carry paper documentation with them. The medical staff, subject to the patient's consent, has the possibility to consult, in digital format, the documentation relating to the patient's clinical history. And access to some documents is also provided in the event of emergency hospitalization."
“Among the objectives of the health record 2.0 – adds Filippo Ansaldi, general director of Alisa – there are those of making it an effective tool for diagnosis and treatment, to share relevant clinical documents between professionals and public and private health facilities, to guarantee continuity of care; the aim is also to increase the quality and quantity of documents and clinical data present to contribute to prevention, diagnosis and personalized treatment by health professionals and to create increasingly in-depth knowledge on the health status of the population to support the definition of health planning policies and government, and to research institutions for medical and biomedical research activity”.
“Liguria Digitale is the creator of the Health Record 2.0 – comments Caterina Gaggero, Deputy Director General and Public Health of Liguria Digitale – The new Dossier will be a decisive innovation compared to the 2017 one, a technological infrastructure capable of collecting health documents and data, providing citizens with full information on their health status and better tools for healthcare professionals for the care and health of patients. All in compliance with the evolution of national guidelines and privacy."
