"There are 796 million euros foreseen in the new Enel distribution plan 'PNRR Veneto Region' for the three-year period 2023-2025, of which 247 million are earmarked for 2023. A value growing by 7 percent compared to 2022 which will allow us to better manage both the increase in energy load and the challenges posed by events linked to climate change such as the natural disasters that have devastated a large part of the Veneto territory in recent days. The investment will focus mainly on the electrification of the consumption of 376 thousand customers, with a greater hosting capacity of 500 Mega Watts. This is a plan that demonstrates great attention and interest towards Veneto and which will produce important consequences in terms of services aimed at customers, contribution to economic growth, infrastructure safety, attention to the environment and centrality of the theme of energy transition".
With these words the regional councilor for Economic Development and Energy, Roberto Marcato, Has expressed satisfaction with the three-year Strategic Plan presented today at Palazzo Balbi by e-distribuzione, a company of the Enel Group.
“We shared with the e-distribuzione representatives a plan that involves all the Provinces with the creation of essential infrastructures and services for the entire community, but above all with low environmental impact - Marcato continued -. I express great satisfaction for the sensitivity demonstrated by Enel, represented by interventions that will lead to the creation of an increasingly resilient, flexible and efficient network, which will also take into account the critical issues and development potential of individual territories".
Specifically in plan includes interventions for the electrification of secondary substations and low voltage lines, in addition to the strengthening of the medium voltage network. The investments on the network they also concern the construction of new primary cabins, fundamental node as receives electricity from the High Voltage lines of the National Transmission Grid to transform it into Medium Voltage and distribute it widely to citizens and businesses.
Il PNRR investment plan of distribution network in Veneto, involves intervention on 184 kilometers of medium voltage lines which will increase meshing and guarantee a positive impact on 802 kilometers of existing network, increasing its resilience.
