Monteciccardo (PU) trail network: inauguration on Sunday with a free walk and MTB tour

A nature walk and a mountain bike tour will inaugurate the event on Sunday 24 March Monteciccardo trail network sustainable mobility and territorial enhancement project promoted by the Municipality of Pesaro and the Town Hall and which uses 70 kilometers of paths and 13 thematic routes - marked by tourist panels and a dedicated website – to raise awareness and rediscover a unique and authentic territory.

The meeting is at 9 am in Piazza Europa, the place where the event will be held project presentation «which well interprets the spirit ofThe nature of culture of Pesaro 2024; a 'widespread' capital which immediately made the involvement of the territory and the networking of its heritage its mission. With this project we will connect the green areas to the villages of the Municipality and explore, in safety, a splendid architectural, rural and historical heritage" explain the mayor of Pesaro Matteo ricci, the deputy mayor Daniele Vimini and the councilor for doing Riccardo Pozzi, who will kick off the excursions on Sunday, together with the President of the Municipality Claudio Bonazzoli, which invites residents and "temporary citizens" to participate in the event: «We are going to formalize and make accessible the numerous routes that cross the splendid hills of Monteciccardo – explains Bonazzoli – with this project which enhances the Sic and Zps naturalistic areas which are part of the Sentieri 2000 Network and which allows you to re-discover Monteciccardo and your fantastic territory, promoting not only its landscape, but also the villages and producers that characterize it".

To explain the Monteciccardo trail network project, “Monte della Mattera – Valleys and hills of the small Apennines“, will be the representatives of Balza del Sole Guide, Monti Editori and the CAI Pesaro “Lino Liuti”. At the end, participants will be able to walk on foot, by bike or on horseback the itineraries proposed by the Network which will immerse themselves in the greenest and wildest area of ​​the Municipality equipped with the hiking maps which will be distributed to those present.

Nature walk

Distance: 4 km (ring tour); difference in altitude: 100 metres; duration: 2 hours.
Equipment: trekking boots (or outdoor shoes), layered clothing, Kway or waterproof jacket, water (1 litre), dried fruit or snacks, change of clothes in the car.
The walking tour will be led by CAI guides and Balza del Sole guides.

MTB tours

Distance: 30 km (can be done both by MTB and E-MTB, circular tour); difference in altitude: 1000 metres; duration: 3 hours
Equipment: helmet and bike in good condition, layered clothing, kway or waterproof jacket, water (1 litre), dried fruit or snacks, change of clothes in the car.
The tour will be led by the group “The muncicard cops".
