"The project, managed in agreement between PLUS and the Environment Service of the Municipality of Oristano, aims on the one hand to improve the level of maintenance and decorum in the area, on the other to involve the recipients in works useful to the community, as established from the relevant national legislation, which provides that beneficiaries of citizenship income are required to carry out activities useful to the community in the municipality of residence for at least 8 hours per week, which can be increased up to 16, in order to also constitute an opportunity for inclusion and growth - specifies the Mayor Massimiliano Sanna -. The projects are structured in coherence with the skills, interests and propensities of the recipients of the citizen's income, starting from the needs and requirements of the local community, as a strengthening of the activities ordinarily carried out by the Municipality".

“We are launching three projects that have urban decor as a minimum common denominator with activities to support municipal interventions already underway – underlines the Councilor for the Environment Maria Bonaria Zedda -. This is an opportunity for income earners to commit themselves to the community through a pact for work and social inclusion".
“For some months now, around thirty recipients have already been employed in various activities for urban decoration. Today we are integrating with three further projects, bringing the total number of people involved who receive citizenship income to 100 - adds Councilor Zedda -. The first project, which will absorb the majority of human resources (89), focuses on the redevelopment of municipal areas (parks, green areas, coastlines, beaches, rest and transit places) through waste collection, cleaning of environments and maintenance of urban and extra-urban furnishings (fences, benches, signs), care of greenery and public spaces. The second project will involve 9 recipients of citizen's income and will concern the redevelopment of landscape paths with support activities in the maintenance and care of naturalistic areas and paths, surveillance of beach accesses and monitoring of compliance with behavioral rules on the beach, support for awareness-raising events , environmental education and promotion of the territory. The latest project includes support for the maintenance of children's games in equipped areas (parks, schools and dedicated areas) with repair, painting, restoration and safety of children's play areas".
