Naples, walk on the San Vincenzo Pier will open to the public.

Signed yesterday in the hall Palazzo San Giacomo council the technical agreement for the route that will lead citizens to use the San Vincenzo Pier.

A wonderful and little known one area of ​​Naples it will gradually be opened to citizens, as promised by the Mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi from the beginning. The intervention is part of a larger seaside promenade project, financed by the Institutional Development Contract “Naples – Historic Center” currently being finalized, which will start from the pedestrian extension of Piazza Municipio in the port area, to reach the pedestrian area up to to Molosiglio and Molo San Vincenzo. The launch of a broader urban plan to return the sea to citizens.

The technical table, coordinated bycouncilor Edoardo Cosenza, had been defined during the joint inspection which took place on 17 February in the presence of the leaders of the institutions involved. The table has chosen, in full agreement between the Municipality of Naples, the Port System Authority, the Superintendency and all the military and ministerial components of the Navy, the detail of the route that will open to the public: a walkway, 3 m wide, will run alongside the Naval Base on the Molosiglio marina side and then reach the promenade along the San Vincenzo Pier.

The Mayor attended the signing ceremony Gaetano Manfredi, the Superintendent of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Municipality of Naples Luigi La Rocca, the President of the Port System Authority of the Central Tyrrhenian Sea Andrea Annunziata, the Admiral of the Logistics Command of the Navy of Naples Giuseppe Abbamonte.

The technical table saw the participation of delegates from the Municipality of Naples, the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Municipality of Naples, the Navy and the Port System Authority of the Central Tyrrhenian Sea.

With this signature the design begins details of the intervention, which will be carried out by the Municipality of Naples. The signing of the administrative agreement between the parties which will regulate the conditions of use will follow in the coming weeks.
