Grosseto: The Buttero and Traditions Museum is born in Alberese.

“Alberese will have its Buttero and Traditions Museum, while the Civil Protection will be based in San Martino. These are the decisions taken by the municipal council in its last session, which prefigure a path of improvement of the tourist offer for Alberese, which has always been a sought-after destination given the existence of the Visitor Center at the Maremma Park and of our entire territory, and of revalorisation for San Martino, which will host, among other things, the voluntary associations supporting the Civil Protection". These are the words of the mayor of Grosseto, Antonfrancesco Vivarelli Colonna, regarding the future of the two former municipal school structures.
The redevelopment interventions are presented as an important operation of urban regeneration and recovery of old buildings, which in the past housed schools, but which in the future will be used as social and cultural structures serving the citizens.

The Alberese property, in particular, will become an excellence intended for cultural activities, taking into account its strategic position in the hamlet of Alberese.

“An important journey begins – declares the Councilor for Culture, Luca Agresti – A journey, not very short, but which will give the city of Grosseto its fourth museum. The aim is to make the numerous visitors and the people of Grosseto themselves discover one of the most iconic figures of the Maremma, the Buttero, also highlighting the traditions of a place known and admired throughout the world. Traditions represent the richness of a community, which we must deepen, enhance and pass on. The Buttero and Traditions Museum will be a real opportunity to do all this."

Grosseto: Ad Alberese nasce il Museo del Buttero e delle Tradizioni.
