Councilor Giamperdone: "Ready for the bathing season in safety".
Framura: nourishment works are progressing with an investment of 2 and a half million.
Work has begun for the completion of nourishment and risk reduction in the Fornaci area, in the Municipality of Framura.
A valuable intervention of 2 and a half million, which is part of the 5 million allocated to Framura, from the Civil Protection funds put in place following the 2018 storm.
The works are expected to be completed by the start of the bathing season.
“A complex but indispensable intervention for the defense of the coast and the town in the Fornaci area – comments the Civil Protection councilor Giacomo Giampedrone –, completed through the stabilization of the beaches with containment works and structural nourishment. This is a method introduced by the Liguria Region and the regional Department of Civil Protection which is giving excellent results regarding the resilience of the territory, not only in the La Spezia area, but throughout the region. In Framura we are approaching the completion of this phase in line with the tourist needs of a province that is leaving the damage of the storm behind it".
To the Civil Protection funds, which also concern the demolition and reconstruction of Ponte Fioraia, is added one million and 140 thousand euros from the Pnrr which brings the investment to over 6 million.
“We estimate the end of this tranche in about ten days, weather permitting – comments the mayor of Framura Andrea Da Passano –, so as to be in line with the start of the bathing season. These works represent a common objective, achieved thanks to the constant commitment of the Liguria Region in terms of risk reduction".
