Crotone: Highest city honor for maestro Gerardo Sacco.
Al master Gerardo Sacco will be awarded"The Golden Pythagoras", The highest city honor provided for by the Municipal Regulation for the granting of civic merits.
The “Golden Pythagoras” is the highest city honor granted by the Municipality of Crotone, provided for by art. 8 of the aforementioned Regulation of civic merits. He comes granted to organizations, associations, institutions o people that with concrete works in the fields of science, culture, communication, arts, industry, work or with social or philanthropic initiatives have enhanced the prestige of the city of Crotone in Italy and in the world. Recognition which to date, although provided for by the Regulation, it had not yet been officially established.
La Municipal Council, with the provision of last July 10th, has officially recognition established which will be awarded every year in accordance with the Regulations during a public ceremony to be held in the Council Chamber on 9 October on the occasion of the patronal feast of S. Dionigi. For the first year the choice of the administration for the awarding of this high recognition is fallout on the master goldsmith Gerardo Sacco in that 2023 reaches an important professional milestone and of life: 60 years of business.
In the course of his long career Maestro Sacco is distinguished for his creativity and at the same time generosity e sense of belonging to the city, receiving national and international recognition bringing his art and the name of Crotone all over the world.
