1,7 million from Liguria Region resources for the rent fund

Councilor Scajola announces help to at least 2000 families in difficulty.

1,7 million from Liguria Region resources for the rent fund.

Amounts to 1,7 million euro the fund that the Liguria Region, following the approval of the budget adjustment, will allocate to support rent payments.

In particular, the resources, available in the 2024 financial year, will be provided to municipalities with high tension and high housing problems.

«A long-awaited measure on which, as the Liguria Region, we have done a truly significant job – declares the regional councilor for housing policies Marco Scajola – We are providing an answer to those who are most in difficulty, partly making up for the Government's choice to not refinance the fund to date. We expect to provide support to at least 2000 Ligurian families, demonstrating our closeness and attention, but also the efficiency of the regional 'machine'. As the Liguria Region and through the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, we will continue to interact with the Government so that the rent fund becomes a national law and not a one-off allocation, in order to have planning and greater certainty".

The Ligurian municipalities which, based on the fees indicated above, will be able to receive funds are 23.
