In this context, The Carabinieri of the Piombino station, at the conclusion of an investigation that arose from a complaint by the security coordinator of a well-known supermarket chain, have reported at liberty a North African citizen in his forties, already known for numerous other previous convictions, seriously suspected of conduct that leads to the crimes of continued theft and attempted theft..

According to the reconstruction carried out by the Carabinieri, the aforementioned, at the end of last January, would have entered a well-known city supermarket, taking and removing several bottles of alcohol of considerable value. After having hidden them on himself, he would have earned his way out by omitting to pay. He would have done the same the following day, but this time, in an attempt to earn his way out from a closed cash register, he would have been recognized and identified by the security personnel who, having alerted the Carabinieri of the emergency intervention, being in the vicinity, managed to arrive in a few moments, thus proceeding with the preparatory operations for the complete reconstruction of the predatory dynamics in order to then be able to report him at liberty to the competent Judicial Authority of Livorno.

The man, a 40-year-old from North Africa, is not new to such acts, having engaged in similar conduct about ten days earlier in the same shop., where, on one occasion when he had been discovered, he had also assumed threatening and at times violent attitudes towards the staff in order to gain his escape, making it necessary for this reason, also on that occasion, for the intervention of the Carabinieri. Once the ritual activities were completed, considering also the repetition of the illicit conduct, the man was reported at large to the competent Livorno Judicial Authority with the charges of continued theft and attempted theft ascertained following the related predatory events.
