Piombino: a man arrested by the Carabinieri in execution of a prison order, a measure resulting from the ascertainment of his responsibility for multiple crimes against the person and property.

The Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Piombino Company, together with their colleagues from the local Station, tracked down and arrested a 50-year-old from the area in execution of a prison order issued by the Criminal Enforcement Office of the Terni Prosecutor's Office.

The man would be held responsible for various criminal conducts that include predatory crimes, receiving stolen goods and fraud up to crimes against the person such as mistreatment against family members or cohabitants, resistance and aggravated injuries, committed in the period between 2016 and 2022 in Piombino and Terni, for a total cumulative prison sentence to be served equal to 8 years and 10 months.

The investigations that allowed us to gather preliminary circumstantial evidence leading to the sentencing to the restrictive sentence for which the trial phase of the execution of the sentence is now opening against him, were conducted at the time and promptly communicated to the competent Judicial Authority also by the Carabinieri of Piombino.
These activities are in addition to the constant work carried out by the Arma of the province of Livorno on various fronts aimed at preventing crimes connected with fraud and deception to the detriment of the so-called weaker sections of the population, which unfortunately are increasingly added, as in today's case, dynamics of a threatening and violent nature that integrate the types of crime against the person.

In compliance with the execution order issued by the Judicial Authority, the Carabinieri of the Piombino Company started the operation by tracking down and blocking the man who, after completing the necessary formalities in the barracks offices, accompanied him to the Livorno prison where he will serve his sentence.
