Marciana Marina: Jewelers investigated for embezzlement.

Following some complaints filed in October by three people residing on the Island, the Carabinieri of the Marciana Marina station They have launched an investigative activity that has occupied them for the past few weeks. From the complaints of the injured parties, it emerged that they had delivered various precious jewels owned by them at a jewelry store, active a few years earlier in the Elba area, for repairs and maintenance.

Despite the requests, the aforementioned jewels they would never have been returned, until the business ceased to operate and the owners could not be found. It is for this reason that the injured parties turned to the Carabinieri Station Command.

At the conclusion of the investigations, the operators have released in a state of freedom to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Livorno two entrepreneurs over fifty, partners and owners of the company with registered office in Piombino, accused of misappropriation.

In the continuation of the investigations, the Carabinieri of the Marciana Marina Station - with the support of their colleagues from the Piombino Station - carried out targeted investigations which led to the discovery of the precious items at the disposal of the two entrepreneurs.

The jewels were recovered and seized and will be returned to their rightful owners as soon as the Judicial Authority in charge of the investigation authorizes their delivery.

In compliance with the rights of the persons under investigation, the entrepreneurs are to be considered presumed innocent until a final determination of guilt with an irrevocable sentence, considering the current stage of the preliminary investigations.
