Collesalvetti: Carabinieri report a woman for stealing the wallets of three customers at a supermarket.

The Carabinieri of the Collesalvetti Station, at the end of an investigation, reported at liberty a 30-year-old Eastern European woman, already known to the police for property crimes, considered seriously suspected of aggravated theft and improper use of payment instruments. According to the reconstruction of the military, the woman, with numerous precedents behind her, wandering around a busy local supermarket, allegedly took possession, in the space of a week, of three wallets of as many unsuspecting consumers, taking advantage of their momentary distraction while they were shopping.

The victims noticed the shortage when they reached the cash register to pay, only to later find that several payment cards in their wallets had also been used to make large withdrawals and various payments, for a total of 2200 euros, before they were blocked.
The local police conducted the investigation by acquiring and viewing the video surveillance cameras of the store and the ATMs involved in the withdrawals, identifying the alleged perpetrator, already known to the police.

Now the woman, with no fixed abode in the area, will have to answer to the Judicial Authority of Livorno for aggravated theft and improper use of payment instruments.
