As part of a service also aimed at combating the phenomenon of drug dealing, the Carabinieri of the Stagno Station arrested a 45-year-old from the area for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.

In intensifying checks near a local public establishment, also to verify some reports received from citizens in this regard and suspicious movements of individuals noticed engaged in quick meetings with apparently passing customers, the Carabinieri engaged in external service surprised and stopped the 45-year-old in the external area pertaining to the business who, as a result of the check, also triggered by his cautious attitude at the sight of them, was caught in the act of committing the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing. Indeed the military operation allowed them to find in his possession 4 doses of heroin with a total weight of about a couple of grams ready for sale. The subsequent search extended to his home then allowed them to recover a further 12 doses of heroin weighing almost ten grams, 5 bottles of methadone and 4 precision electric scales, as well as material for packaging doses.

All that was found was then seized and the aforementioned person was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics.
Following the hearing, the Court validated the arrest and ordered the suspect to remain in the municipality of residence overnight, but with permission to go to work.
