Two young men arrested in Cecina for drug dealing: 500 grams of hashish seized

Within the services aimed at controlling the territory for the prevention of crimes in general to protect public order and safety throughout the provincial territory arranged by the Provincial Carabinieri Command of Livorno and also aimed at repression of crimes against property and illicit trafficking, the Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Cecina Company have Two foreign citizens, aged 20 and 22, arrested, respectively of Tunisian and Greek origin, with no fixed abode in the territory, for possession for the purpose of trafficking of narcotic substances.

The military had concentrated their attention on the city center, thanks also to some reports from private citizens who had reported two young people who, wandering around the streets and squares, had been noticed fleetingly meeting other people. Thanks to the observation services, also carried out by patrols in civilian clothes, The soldiers managed to identify the two on the street and stop them for a check.

The cautious attitude and the circumstances of time and place persuaded the workers to to further investigate through a personal search following which the carabinieri found 5 blocks of hashish for a total weight of 500 grams and 255 euros, a sum likely to be the proceeds of illegal activity. The items found were seized and the two young men were arrested red-handed for possession of drugs with intent to deal. The Carabinieri's activity has been validated by the Judicial Authority of Livorno.
