Cecina, two hashish dealers arrested by the Carabinieri

The military ofOperational Unit of the Cecina Carabinieri Company they arrested a man and a woman, aged 31 and 36 respectively, in flagrante delicto for possession of a narcotic substance for the purpose of traffickingThe intervention was triggered by a targeted territorial control operation which allowed the Carabinieri to surprise the two in the act of handing over a dose of hashish to a citizen of foreign origin.

Once the dose was recovered, the military extended a personal and home searches, finding about 90 grams of hashish, already divided into doses, 110 euros in cash, precision balance and a customer list linked to drug dealing activities. The two arrested were taken to arrest at the woman's home, at the disposal of theJudicial Authority of Livorno, pending the validation rite, which took place on December 6th at the Court of Livorno, with confirmation of validation by the Judge.

The operation is part of the ongoing activities of fight against drug trafficking and dealing conducted byArms of the Carabinieri in the provincial territory, which is also accompanied by the commitment in promotion of legality. Recently, the Carabinieri of the Livorno Company met with the students of the fifth classes of theIIS Vespucci – Colombo, addressing issues such as Bullying, cyberbullying, risks associated with using the web and risky behaviors, providing informational materials to raise awareness among the new generations.

The initiative saw numerous interventions and questions from students on the institutional role of Carabinieri at the service of the citizens. Thanks to the collaboration with theProvincial Education Office, school principals and teachers, the Carabinieri continue to promote a culture of legality among young people, highlighting the behaviors to avoid for responsible and conscious growth.
