Cecina, Carabinieri conduct extraordinary checks: 2 reports and €1.700 fines.

Over the past weekend the Carabinieri of the Cecina Company have initiated an improvement in control services on the territory, within the framework of the directives issued by the Provincial Command of Livorno and the guidelines shared in the Prefecture during the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety. The objective: prevent and combat widespread illegality, with particular attention to drug dealing, predatory crimes and road safety.

Patrols monitored the Cecina city center and several peripheral areas, focusing on dangerous driving behavior and compliance with the Highway Code. During the checks, in via Naples, the Carabinieri stopped a driver in his early forties, already with license revoked, which showed a marked state of psychomotor agitation.

The officers, believing the condition to be potentially attributable to the use of alcohol or narcotics, invited him to the scheduled tests. However, the man refused the tests., and was therefore reported at liberty, as required by current legislation. A similar situation occurred in Magona Street, where a 27 year old local man, driving his car, was in evident state of psychophysical alterationIn this case too, the driver flatly refused both the breathalyzer test and the drug test.
