Cecina: wide-ranging control service, 10 violations of the Highway Code reported.  

The Carabinieri of the Cecina Company, as part of the intensification of road safety services, in line with the strategic directives of the Prefecture, carried out checks on the main road arteries with the use of patrols from various stations and the support of the local Operational Unit and Radiomobile, aimed at preventing crimes against property, combating the various forms of widespread illegality as well as aiming at road safety.
During the operations they were checked a total of 55 people and 49 vehicles and 10 violations of the Highway Code were charged to as many motorists, mainly for failure to use a seat belt, failure to possess driving documents and driving without a licence, for a total amount of almost 3000 euros.
The Carabinieri checks also extended to 5 subjects subjected to restrictive measures and 2 public businesses in order to verify compliance with the obligations imposed, without finding any irregularities.
During the service in the municipality of Cecina, the military subjected a 21-year-old from San Vincenzo to checks and at the end of the investigations they released him into a state of freedom for not having complied with the ban on returning to that territory which he was intended for.
On the anti-drug front, the Carabinieri reported to the competent Prefecture, as a user for non-therapeutic use, a young Florentine who was caught during the check in possession of a small quantity of hashish, a substance which was subjected to seizure.
The checks will continue in view of the greater presences along the Etruscan Coast.
