The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Livorno, in line with the directives shared by the Committee for Public Order and Safety at the Prefecture of Livorno, have intensified external services aimed at preventing and repressing crimes against property. In this context the tight action in perspective of prevention and above all repression of any predatory conduct against commercial businesses – often the favourite targets of ill-intentioned and reckless customers of businesses in the province of Livorno – resulted in the operation of the Carabinieri of the Livorno Station Rosignano Solvay, which at the end of a quick investigation, they reported at liberty to the Judicial Authority of Livorno, since two men seriously suspected of aggravated theft in competition of Sicilian origins, but present in the area for a long time, aged 51 and 39, both burdened by specific precedents.
The investigations were started by the Carabinieri following the theft report filed by a trader from Rosignano Solvay who had had a cell phone stolen worth several hundred euros. Two men reportedly showed up at his shop, supposedly brothers, interested in purchasing a television through financing. For this purpose They provided him with the documents of the younger of the two so as to allow the shopkeeper to start the financial procedure and thus take advantage of his distraction to steal a cell phone displayed on the counter.
The financing process would not have been successful and, therefore, under the pretext of obtaining further documents to conclude the process, the two left the shop and disappeared without a trace. At that point the shopkeeper noticed that the phone was missing and immediately filed a complaint with the police., to whom he delivered the images recorded by the store's cameras. The military only needed a few passages of the dynamics which, combined with the deep knowledge of the territory and the descriptive elements provided by the victim herself, were decisive for give a name to the two suspects responsible for the theft. The two would not in fact be new to similar facts. In this case they were reported at large to the Livorno Judicial Authority for aggravated theft by fraudulent means.
