Rosignano Marittimo: Violations of landscape regulations, fine of 3.000 euros.

The commitment of the people is constant and widespread throughout the province of Livorno. Forestry Carabinieri, in constant coordination and collaboration with the Provincial Command of Livorno, aimed at monitoring and controlling the wooded area with a view to preventing and repressing any criminal or administrative offence which may result in damage to the green heritage of the province of Livorno.

The current activity conducted by the Forestry Carabinieri under the Montenero Nucleus which, within the scope of the constant control activities aimed at environmental protection and landscape and environmental constraints, following checks carried out in the locality Masaccio of Rosignano Marittimo, have detected irregularities connected with the forest cutting and proceeded to sanction the person responsible.

In particular, it was found that in awooded area falling within a protected site in the Livorno Mountains area, subjected to landscape constraint, works had been carried out for the construction of the access path to a fixed hunting post without the prescribed Environmental Impact Assessment provided for by the sector legislation.

The military therefore proceeded to raise the administrative penalty expected amounting to 3.000 euros at the expense of alleged perpetrator which has been identified.

The controls of Forestry Carabinieri to protect the environment will continue, particularly in protected areas and those subject to landscape restrictions, to prevent and repress any further violations.
