Rosignano: the perpetrator of both home and car thefts identified and reported by the Carabinieri

The Carabinieri of the Rosignano Solvay Station, at the conclusion of targeted investigations, have reported while at liberty to the Judicial Authority of Livorno, as he is seriously suspected of various crimes, a man of foreign origins over forty, already known to the police.

The investigations were started by the Carabinieri following a report of theft of a home in Vada presented by the victim. Right around the beginning of November, various materials had been stolen from the house, including a bicycle.

A few days later another complaint was filed with the Carabinieri of Rosignano Solvay to inform them of the theft to the detriment of a parked car from inside which the criminals allegedly stole a card holder containing, among other things, a prepaid card.

These apparently distinct facts in terms of timing and location, following in-depth investigations, would have turned out to be the result of the work of a single author.

In particular, it would have emerged that the withdrawals made with the stolen prepaid card at a vending machine in the area had been carried out by the same person. The video traces recorded by the video surveillance of the area also contributed to supporting the hypotheses.

The knowledge of the territory by the soldiers of Rosignano Solvay was decisive in the entire reconstruction of both events and they were thus able to systematize all the ideas acquired, identifying the suspected perpetrator, who is already known and burdened by similar precedents in the matter of predatory crimes. The suspect will be called to answer for criminal conduct for home burglary, aggravated theft, receiving stolen goods and improper use of payment instruments.
