Two Brothers Arrested in Rosignano Marittimo for Drug Dealing

Within the services aimed at controlling the territory with a view to preventing crimes in general to protect public order and safety throughout the province, arranged by the Provincial Carabinieri Command of Livorno and based on repression of crimes against property and illicit trafficking, the Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Cecina Company, with the collaboration of colleagues from the Cecina and Rosignano Marittimo Stations, they arrested two brothers, aged 29 and 37, both residents of the Rosignano area and already known to the police, for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.

In intensifying the checks, to verify some reports received from citizens regarding and suspicious movements of subjects noticed in quick encounters with apparently passing customers, even during the night hours, in the municipality of Rosignano, the Carabinieri engaged in external service, on their own initiative intercepted and the two were stopped for a check. The cautious attitude adopted at their sight, and the circumstances of time and place, persuaded the workers to to investigate further. From the personal search but, above all, from the one extended to their homes in Vada, real drug dealing centers have emerged.

At the home of the elder of the two, a real drug dealing center, The Carabinieri found over 300 grams of narcotic substances including hashish, cocaine and marijuana, as well as a cash sum of approximately 3000 euros, likely proceeds of illegal activity. Also found by the Carabinieri in the house of the younger brother 52 grams of hashish and 300 euros in cash. Furthermore, in both drug dealing centers there were numerous indicators of the thriving drug trafficking activity and in particular: packaging materials, precision scales and other instruments which place the two investigated in the drug dealing circuit in the Rosignano area.

All the substance found was then seized and the aforementioned were declared under arrest for possession of drugs with intent to deal in competition. Once the formal procedures related to the arrest operations have been completed, on the orders of the Livorno AG and pending validation, the two were escorted to their respective homes under house arrest pending the validation hearing, which last morning ordered for both of them the precautionary measure of house arrest inside their respective homes. The attention of the Carabinieri will continue both in the urban areas and in the wooded areas at risk of degradation of the territory of Cecina and Rosignano.
