Couple reported for theft of elderly woman in Rosignano Marittimo

As part of the intensification of services, arranged by the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Livorno in line with the directives shared by the Committee for Public Order and Security at the Livorno Prefecture, the Carabinieri of the Rosignano Marittimo Station have a 40-year-old couple reported at large, of non-EU origins and already known to the police, since seriously suspected of a theft committed inside a Rosignano supermarket to the detriment of a local woman in her eighties.

According to the reconstruction of the Carabinieri, also carried out thanks to the extrapolation of the recordings of the internal surveillance system, the two allegedly entered the shop and, with cunning and deception, managed to distract the victim by stealing her bag from the shopping cart containing her wallet, documents, payment cards and a mobile phone. Having fully ascertained their identity, the couple was reported at liberty at the Judicial Authority of Livorno for aggravated theft in competition.
