Livorno: Man reported for sexual assault, Red Code activated.

La Municipal police (specialized nucleus of Judicial Police) he has referred to the Judicial Authority a man for the crime of sexual violence, with simultaneous activation of the procedure called "Code Red".

The victim's complaint

In the month of January, a young woman showed up at the Municipal Police Command to stick out complaint against unknown persons, denouncing that she had been sexually harassed at work.

He attached the complaint videos and photos which portrayed the man responsible for the harassment.

The investigation and arrest

The staff of the Specialized Section immediately started ainvestigation to identify the perpetrator of the crime, gathering information in the area where the incident occurred.

Traders and visitors to the area they reported to the officers that the subject in question he had already been responsible for similar episodes in the past.

A few days later, during a patrolling, the Municipal Police has identified the man in the city centerThe suspect was stopped and taken to the Judicial Police Offices, where he was subjected to:

• Photo signaling,
• Formal identification,
• Referral to the Judicial Authority for sexual violence, With the 'Opening of the Red Code.

The activation of the Red Code will guarantee the victim an immediate and priority protection path.
