The Carabinieri have long been dedicating a particular beware of the phenomenon of scams against the elderly.

The Provincial Carabinieri Command of Livorno is conducting a widespread information campaign throughout the territory to spread knowledge of the phenomenon by laying the foundations and providing tools to potential victims.

The Carabinieri Company of Livorno held a open meeting with the citizens of Livorno at the church of Santa Teresa di Calcutta in Salviano and they addressed especially the elderly. From an analysis of the crime in its specificity, it emerged, in fact, that the victims they are in most cases old people and women singles.

On this occasion, the Carabinieri provided some suggestions to the people present, also through the distribution of information brochures.

The information meeting was designed to provide important information on how behave in the face of possible scams both inside and outside your own homes and, above all, on how to unmask the bad guys.
