Livorno, 70-year-old arrested for molesting girls on the bus.
The Carabinieri of Livorno, as part of the constant action of combating crimes against the weakest sections of the population, have arrested un man over 70, already burdened by specific precedents, who is seriously accused of having molested two young girls on a bus.
The investigations date back to the spring of 2024 when a young girl, accompanied by her parents, had filed a complaint at the police station for having suffered some harassment by a person aboard a bus while going to school.
The man repeatedly positioned himself behind the young woman touching her in private parts. He was kept under surveillance by the Carabinieri and they ascertained the crimes of sexual violence.
The elder was reported even from aanother young woman. THE investigations have confirmed that the suspect, already under house arrest, would have repeated the same actions in mid-January on a bus frequented by students. This time too, the Carabinieri of Livorno were able to quickly identify him: it's always the same man, a 70 year old.
The investigations by the Carabinieri, started after the victims' complaints, have gathered detailed evidence through testimonies and video analysis. All the elements were reported in a report sent to the Livorno Public Prosecutor's Office, which, having assessed the seriousness of the facts, requested a provision from the Judge for Preliminary Investigations. The latter, considering the risk of recurrence, has ordered the suspect to be held house arrest with electronic bracelet.
