Livorno, 40-year-old woman throws herself from the window of the apartment where she lives.

The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Livorno, on Friday 7 February shortly after 17.00 pm, intervened in via Bastogi, a neighbourhood le sorgenti, following a call in which a seriously injured person falls from a window of a fourth floor apartment.

Arriving quickly on the spot, they found on the ground, in the internal courtyard, the lifeless body of a woman of forty years. The area was immediately cordoned off to preserve every element useful for an accurate and detailed reconstruction of the moments preceding the tragic event.

A specialized team from the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command for the Viale Fabbricotti Command quickly arrived technical-scientific surveys. With the lighting provided by the Fire Brigade, the operators carried out the inspection of the scene, while the coroner, at the PM's disposal, has inspected the body of the woman.

The Magistrate of the Livorno Public Prosecutor's Office was present on site and took over the direction of the investigations for the coordination of the judicial police.

Initial investigations have revealed that the woman's gesture could have been influenced by a state of agitation and trough, probably aggravated by theuse of psychotropic substancesInvestigations are underway to determine the type and quantity.

The Carabinieri of Livorno have started investigations to reconstruct the story also through the statements of the people present. They are also trying to reconstruct the family and relational structure of the deceased.

The prevailing one ishypothesis of suicide, but alternative reconstructions of the story are being examined.

The body was made available to the coroner for the autopsy ordered by the incumbent Judicial Authority.
