Livorno, registrations open for the “Run for Dogs 2025”, the solidarity race to help the dogs of the municipal kennel.

Registrations are officially open for the “Run for Dogs 2025”, virtual running (or walking!) race dedicated to dog lovers who wish to support the adoptions from the Livorno municipal kennel “La Cuccia nel Bosco”.

The event, organized by the Cooperativa Il Melograno, will take place on the days of Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th April, with the possibility of participating anywhere and for any distance. The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Livorno Dog Group ENCI, the animal rights association ANPANA, the UISP Terre dell'Etruria delegation and the Parco del Mulino social cooperative, with the patronage of the Municipalities of Livorno and Piombino.

How to participate in the Run for Dogs 2025: it is possible to register online, by filling out the form on the official website of the municipal dog shelter: www.lacuccianelbosco.org/runfordogs-2025/ and sending the payment receipt to the address vet@coopmelograno.org.

Or you can register in person, At the information stand which will be set up Sunday April 6 al Field school on the occasion of Vivicitta 2025, the historic foot race organized by UISP.

To complete your participation, you will need to:

1. Travel at least 3 km (running or walking with your dog).

2. Documenting time through Fitness or step counter app.

3. Send it screenshot with the time recorded at vet@coopmelograno.org.

La final classification will be published in the following days on the kennel website and the awards will be held during the ENCI National Dog Show in Livorno.

In collaboration with UISP, Sunday 13 April at 17.00 hours, one will start solidarity race by Mill Park with the participation of boys from the Mill Park and dogs from the municipal kennel, a unique opportunity to combine sport and solidarity.

There are two ways to register:

• Single: 10 €

• Family unit (up to 4 people): 20 €
