Livorno, a fan of the city team, already reported by the Carabinieri for illegal possession of an improper weapon, receives a one-year Daspo.
More than a month ago, a patrol of the Carabinieri of the Livorno Operational and Radiomobile Unit, in an external service for the prevention of crimes in general, he had stopped and subjected to an initiative check a young man from Livorno over twenty in the Stagno area, while he was going to the stadium to watch the Coppa Italia chair D football match between the Livorno and Grosseto teams. During the activities, the boy, who also had previous convictions, had shown an at times nervous attitude, so much so that the police investigated further by also inspecting the vehicle.
Following the inspection, the following was found inside the car's passenger compartment: a wooden bat bearing the symbol of the Livorno football team, approximately 77 cm long. This element, also supported by the boy's clothing, who on that occasion was also wearing the shirt of the corresponding sports club, left little room for doubt regarding the potential use that he could make of the instrument.
Therefore, in addition to the seizure of the club, the young man had been reported to the local Public Prosecutor's Office for illegal possession of weapons, but the conduct, beyond the criminal aspect, appeared anything but trivial and the operating Carabinieri investigated the socially dangerous conduct also for the aspects connected to the issuing of an adequate preventive measure, reporting every useful element to the attention of the competent Police Headquarters office.
At the end of the expected investigation consisting in the evaluation of the social dangerousness and that the aforementioned had already previously been the recipient of an oral warning following other qualified episodes, he was issued a one-year ban on access to sporting events (so-called DASPO). The ban is valid for all sporting facilities in the national and European territory and is valid for all championships.
