Castagneto Carducci: 40-year-old arrested for violating the no-approach sign that had been notified to him less than 24 hours earlier

The Carabinieri of the Donoratico Carabinieri Station have arrested in flagrante delicto un 40enne of Sicilian origins for violation of the order prohibiting approach to the injured party and the places frequented by the same, a measure imposed on him by the Livorno Judicial Authority following alleged conduct violent to the detriment of the partner and notified to him only the previous evening.

The patrolling soldiers, in order to protect the safety of the victim and his belongings, carried out some checks on their own initiative near the latter's home, located elsewhere for precautionary reasons, and, early in the morning, they surprised the 40-year-old inside, even though he was not even allowed to approach it. The carabinieri found the man in a state of alteration, presumably for drug taking, and found in the bedroom three kitchen knives and a gas canister, for which the 40-year-old was unable to provide any justification.

The latter, having disregarded the provisions of the measure to which he was subjected and having been caught red-handed by the police, was arrested in flagrante delicto. From further investigations aimed at reconstructing the entire incident and the man's last movements, it also emerged that during the previous night, he had placed a petrol can and a gas cylinder also in the immediate vicinity of wooden structures at the victim's workplace.
