The future designers of the Polytechnic showcase the future

From January 25th the School of Design of the Polytechnic of Milano home UNDER CONSTRUCTION, an exhibition organized by students of the master's degree course in Product Service System Design. The theme is that of the education of the future and the projects that by 2037 will upset the world of higher education in a very unpredictable future, influenced by environmental, social and economic disruptions, which will transform our daily practices. «The last 18 months have demonstrated how quickly our world can be altered and how quickly we can reorganize our daily lives. These transformations have been dramatic in many cases, but they have also revealed new opportunities for innovation. Designers, as always, have a crucial role in conceiving products and services that support people in this constantly moving environment", explain the student organizers. Continuing the work done in previous years, proposing the theme "UNCERTAIN TIMES“, the course of Innovation Studio promotes ideas that will disrupt higher education as we know it. This institution has been and will continue to witness changes as it tries to meet unforeseen challenges. It is very likely that education will be more distributed geographically and temporally and the spaces where it takes place will be more varied and less centralized. Students studied in environments that are small variations of the amphitheaters of early medieval universities, digital devices simply juxtaposed with desks and blackboards. Five scenarios imagined like that of Learn from nature or create Unconventional learning spaces, even sound or in the metaverse.
