Police raise awareness among high school students in the province of Lecce about bullying and cyberbullying
National Day Against Bullying. The Police meets 500 kids in schools in Tricase and San Cassiano.
On February 7th, the National day against bullying and cyberbullying.
The State Police, always engaged in a prevention campaign and fight against bullying and cyberbullying, has met over 500 kids at 8 schools between Tricase and San Cassiano.
The police warned the young people about the risks of the internet and explained to them how use social media consciously network, like recognize the “bully” and how to stay on guard. The students actively participated in the meetings, showing keen interest in the topics covered, including the use of theYou Pol app, created to report, even anonymously, incidents of bullying.
The Commissioner of the State Police Dr. Marco Schirosi and the staff of the Cyber Section intervened first in Tricase, meeting with the students of the Girolamo Comi State High School of Tricase, the IISS Don Tonino Bello, the IC Giovanni Pascoli, the IC “Tricase Via Apulia”, the IISS “Gaetano Salvemini” and the IC of Gagliano, the IC State of Alessano. Subsequently in San Cassiano, at the local Catholic Cultural Circle, they met the IC State of Botrugno – Nociglia – San Cassiano and Supersano of Lecce.
