Parabita: He hides drugs at home ready to be placed on the market, 36-year-old arrested

Preventive and repressive activity of the Carabinieri of the Casarano Company aimed at combating drug dealing and consumption continues without stopping throughout the jurisdiction, hitting the local "drug dealing areas". The Carabinieri of the Parabita Station have a 36-year-old, already known to the police, was arrested in the center of the town. The intervention was triggered by investigations and information-investigative findings that highlighted drug dealing activity at his home. After having precisely identified the location, the military personnel of the Arma proceeded to inspection and search of the apartment. During the operation, numerous doses of narcotic substances hidden in various parts of the house, ready to be placed on the market, were found in the presence of the owner.

In total, 90 grams of heroin, approximately 200 grams of hashish, 400 grams of marijuana, various scales, cutting agents and packaging material were seized. At the end of the formal procedures, as ordered by the PM on duty of the Lecce Public Prosecutor's Office who is conducting the investigations, the man was taken to his home, where he is currently under house arrest. This intervention demonstrates the constant commitment of law enforcement to ensure community safety and to combat the phenomenon of drug dealing which represents a threat to public health and safety.
