Lecce: Suspect arrested in shocking cocaine discovery

The NORM Carabinieri of the Tricase Company have executed a precautionary custody order in prison, issued by the Court of Lecce – GIP Section, against a 37-year-old man, already known to the police. This arrest represents the culmination of an in-depth investigation conducted by the military of the Arma. In fact For weeks the Carabinieri had been immersed in a complex investigation, started on October 31st, in a country field, where approximately 800 grams of cocaine had been seized, an impressive load corresponding to approximately 3900 doses ready to be placed on the market. The arrest of an unknown drug dealer had turned into a puzzle to be solved, and the military knew that time was of the essence.

With patience and dedication, the Carabinieri analyzed the video surveillance images and carried out observation services, even under the veil of night. Every detail, every movement, every shadow became part of an increasingly clear picture. And so, attention was focused on a 37 year old man, already known to the police, whose profile seemed, from the very beginning, to fit perfectly with the mystery surrounding the kidnapping, managing to identify the suspect as a possible perpetrator of the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing.

After completing the formalities, the man was taken to the Lecce prison, where he will remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities. This operation underlines the constant commitment of law enforcement in the fight against drug trafficking and in safeguarding public safety.
