Lecce, “Fishing for plastic”, the environmental initiative of the Italian Federation of Sport Fishing and Underwater Activities on 14 April.

The sixth edition of “APESCADIPL. will take place on Sunday 14 April 2024ASTICA”, the environmental event organized by the Italian Federation of Sport Fishing and Underwater Activities, Lecce section, with the collaboration of many affiliated and non-affiliated associations, and with the patronage of the Puglia Region, the Coast Guard, together of course with the patronage of the interested Salento municipalities.

Starting from the marina of San Cataldo, passing from the beaches of Le Cesine, to Alimini, until reaching the opposite side of Porto Cesareo, the Asd Over Fishing Salento of Nardò, Fishing Club of Lecce, Messapia Team of Gallipoli, Circolo della Vela of Gallipoli , Italian Naval League sections of San Foca, Torre San Giovanni, Black Marlyn Team 2007, Tourist Port of San Foca, 3Oceani Sport Center Lecce, Alpoga and Amici del mare Racale, Salento Anglers Otranto, Lenza Salentina Lecce, Salento Sea and Le Pilane Poggiardo , Melendugno School Institute, The Green March and many volunteers will join together for a symbolic plastic collection which aims to raise awareness among citizens on the issue of marine and coastal pollution and the protection of the oceans and its inhabitants.

Like every year, many children and young people will be involved who, accompanied by their parents and sports instructors, will be protagonists and spokespersons of this positive action to protect our environment, demonstrating the fact that sports are the main protagonist in actions to combat 'pollution.

The meeting point in the Lecce marinas is Sunday 14 April at 8am on the San Cataldo free beach north of the dock.
