Fear in Lecce: a 44-year-old attacks passers-by in the center.

The State Police has identified and 44-year-old of Asian origin reported who a few days ago created alarm in the centre of Lecce with his violent behavior.

In the days between January 30th and February 1st it has two young people attacked who were walking through the streets of the center. The first attack occurred near Porta Napoli where 22 year old man injured in the head. Then he has 23-year-old hit in the side with a sharp object That was recording a video with his cell phone.

In both cases, the attacker was riding a bicycle and wearing a jacket with the hood pulled down over his head.

Il video shot shortly before the attack and posted on social media from the victim had an immediate effect because more videos of the man have been released. Furthermore, in the following days, numerous calls were received to report the presence of the attacker in various points of the city. This allowed the Police to track down the man through the streets of the city.

During the search home they found a screwdriver wrapped in a blue latex glove, like the one visible in the video posted by the attacked person.

The man was reported at large for injuries aggravated by continued use of a weapon.
