The vehicle, which was proceeding on the SS 650 in the direction of Isernia, the soldiers were noticed, he accelerated his march, without stopping at the Carabinieri's command, who within a few seconds began a chase that lasted several minutes, until the criminals, seeing themselves hunted, reached the SS17 junction towards Campobasso, have abandoned the car and disappeared in the bush abandoning the vehicle and a bag containing burglary tools.

This was the result of the intensified controls prepared, already in the previous days, by the Carabinieri throughout the province of Isernia, in order to prevent home burglaries and predatory crimes in general. The intervention was the result of the synergic interaction between citizens, who promptly reported the ongoing predatory raid to 112 with the useful elements noted, the Operations Centres and the rapid response patrols of the Company and Provincial Commands involved in the border area, who immediately implemented a series of checkpoints which, like an operational spider web, allowed them to intercept the operational target of interest.
