Carpinone, fight against waste abandonment: a woman reported.

In recent weeks, the Carabinieri of Carpinone have intensified checks for combat environmental crimes, with the aim of protecting the natural and landscape heritage of the municipality.

Despite the efforts of the authorities, the bad habit of private individuals and businesses continues abandon waste along the roads or in hidden areas, generating environmental damage and problems of urban decorum. To counteract the phenomenon, the Carabinieri have started patrols and investigations, already managing to identify and report a person.

In Carpinone industrial area, a few days ago, a was discovered dump urban and special solids, including building demolition residues and domestic waste. The investigations led to the identification of the responsible, a woman resident in Isernia, who illegally dumped the waste to avoid disposal costs. The woman was reported and will have to provide for the removal of the abandoned material.

The Carabinieri also reported the case to the Municipality of Carpinone, which will provide for the issuing of the waste removal orders still present.

Please remember that theillegal abandonment of waste is a criminal offence, punishable by fines from 1.000 to 10.000 euros for private individuals, while for companies responsible for the disposal of hazardous waste, there are provisions fines up to 26.000 euros and imprisonment up to one year.
