Isernia: 80-year-old man defrauded in watch scam; 54-year-old reported

La State Police of Isernia ha reported a man of , already known for similar crimes, responsible for a scam against an 80-year-old manThe scam took place in the city centre, where the criminal approached the victim pretending to know her. According to what was reconstructed by the investigators, the man invited the 80-year-old to get into his car and, during the journey, he simulated economic difficulties, asking for a loan. The elderly man, driven by the desire to help him, went with him to a help desk ATM, where he took it 500 € handing them over to the scammer immediately afterwards. In exchange, he received the watches, but discovered almost immediately that they were low-value objects, realizing that he had been tricked.

Thanks to the analysis of the video surveillance cameras, the operators managed to locate the suspicious vehicle and identify the person responsible. The man, already known for property crime and for having used the same technique in other circumstances, he was reported. About him, the Police Chief of Isernia also issued a return ban order in the provincial territory for three years.
