WUNDERKAMMER SUMMER 2023: ten events with concerts, books, round tables, masterclasses and opera.

concerts, focus on great singers of the past, art and music performance at dawn, presentations bookstore, masterclass and a work of Mozart. These, in summary, are the appointments WunderKammer Summer 2023, summer proposal of WunderKammer Orchestra (WKO). Ten events between July and September, of which seven are at home, a Pesaro, and three away games, two to Montepulciano, guest of the Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte, and one a Macerata in collaboration with Macerata Opera.

Paolo Marzocchi: WKO artistic director
The WunderKammer Orchestra, originally an association born around an instrumental ensemble, is increasingly revealing itself as a complex organization which, starting from Pesaro, is beginning to be present in regional and national festivals and realities, with an artistic activity that also looks beyond the Italian borders . From this perspective, the opening concert given to the English pianist Cordelia Williams, for the first time in Italy, is emblematic. The space dedicated to the voice is as always huge, from the now usual appointment with Atelier Belcanto, an opera singing masterclass entrusted to Bruno De Simone and Alessandra Rossi which will be held in September, preceded by the event dedicated to the centenary of Maria Callas and by the one dedicated to Sesto Bruscantini in collaboration with Macerata Opera.

A moment of intersection between different artistic languages is the concert at dawn by Roberto Paci Dalò, who for the third edition of "The Listening Space – the voice of sculpture” will ideally dialogue with the sculptures of Loreno Sguanci, in front of the work 'Sea Gate'. Attention to young musicians, one of the main missions of the WKO, this year brings the WunderKammer Youth Ensemble, the WKO youth orchestra, to the Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte of Montepulciano with two productions, a Mozart opera at the Poliziano Theater, and a symphony concert in metaphysical Tempio di San Biagio, with leading artists such as Riccardo Zanellato, but also with already established young people such as Arsen Dalibaltayan and Francesco Leone. Also not to be forgotten are the presentations of the two books by Guido Giannuzzi and Giovanni Oliva, with the meeting with the authors.

Stefano Gottin: WKO president
The WKO's series of summer events is consistent with the Association's practice of providing a varied and multifunctional offering in the broad panorama of art music. The offer, consciously differentiated and original, also takes into account the composition of the membership team made up mostly of curious neophytes of various age and professional backgrounds. This direction is also aimed at creating the conditions for a change, not only generational, of the public. Finally, the presence of the WKO outside the square of Pesaro and in the context of very important programs such as those of the Macerata Opera and the Cantiere di Montepulciano, signals a growing rooting of the Association in a patchy manner throughout the national territory.
