WeRoad Film Fest: an open air film festival organized by the Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano (BAM)

The event organized by BAM - Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano, (project by Riccardo Catella), will take place every Friday, from 16 June to 30 June inside the contemporary botanical garden of Portanuova, offering spectators the viewing of three thematic films.

WeRoad Film Fest, the innovative travel reality that leads young people to discover new and distant cultures.

The event organized by BAM – Library of Trees Milano, (project by Riccardo Catella), dedicated to travelers and dreamers, will take place every Friday, from 16 June to 30 June inside the contemporary botanical garden of Portanuova, offering spectators the viewing of three thematic films.

The event organized by WeRoad as part of BAM's 2023 cultural programming, will be held in an outdoor space inside the park, where 100 seats will be available to share an experience, capable of combining the passion for travel, nature and love for cinema. If you want to participate, you will have the opportunity to enjoy screenings on a big screen thanks to the participation of Cinevan, the project created to bring cinema into large spaces and for free.

The titles selected by WeRoad Film Fest are:

June 16 – “The Secret Dreams of Walter Mitty”: comedy that follows the events of Walter Mitty, (played by Ben Stiller), a shy and dreamy employee. In search of a lost negative, Mitty immerses himself in an extraordinary journey that leads him to experience incredible adventures.

June 23 – “The Motorcycle Diaries”: directed by Walter Salles, it is based on the true diaries of the young Ernesto “Che” Guevara. Set in the 50s, the film follows the motorcycle journey of “Che” and his friend Alberto Granado through Latin America. discovering the country's social and political inequalities.

30 June – “Into the Wild”: based on the book “Into the Wild” by Jon Krakauer, the film tells the true story of Christopher McCandless, a young man who decides to abandon his privileged life to embark on an adventure in the wilds of 'Alaska.
