Vicenza, Donna Gioca Donna: the Municipality supports education courses in schools against gender violence.

With a new contribution for the implementation of training interventions in city schools, the municipal administration renews its support for the Donna Gioca Donna association, on the front line in the fight against gender violence and for the equal dignity and rights of women.

“This additional contribution of 1000 euros – declares the councilor for social policies Marco Zocca – is part of a more complex action that the administration has implemented, also with input from the city council, to combat violence against women which afflicts our society and which has manifested itself in very serious forms in our territory. Alongside the valorisation of the Ceav, the anti-violence center to which we have handed over the new headquarters in via Vaccari in recent days, to the support given to the Viva Vittoria demonstration and in the wake of the activity of the prefectural table for the fight against gender violence, this funding will contribute to creating prevention and education courses on equal dignity and women's rights in schools of all levels. A fundamental activity, because the spread of the culture of respect among young people represents an essential piece in the fight against this hateful phenomenon."
