Vicenza: the Vicenza Municipal Civil Protection Group at the regional exercise in Valdobbiadene.
The the Vicenza Municipal Civil Protection Group is participating in the three-day Regional Exercise that began on Friday morning in Valdobbiadene entitled “Lands that move” and which aims to train volunteers who can provide support in the event of an earthquake.
«Since yesterday morning - Explains the head of Civil Protection of the Municipality of Vicenza Giorgio Casaro - eight volunteers are participating in this important moment of training and support to the Provincial Civil Protection that asked us to take action to set up a rescue camp to be built in the event of an earthquake. These are days that see us engaged not only as people, but also in making available some of our means such as the truck with the crane, a van and two additional vehicles with all the equipment useful for the mission».
«A sincere thank you - comments Councillor for Civil Protection Matteo Tosetto - goes to our men and women who in these three days have voluntarily made themselves available for training that is essential in the event of earthquakes. My thanks, together with that of the entire city, go to the entire Civil Protection group of Vicenza, including those who had given their availability, but were unable to leave because the maximum number had already been reached. On this occasion too they demonstrated a great sense of responsibility and a commendable spirit of service».
