Vicenza, the second edition of “Pizza in Piazza” is back
Three days dedicated to the most loved baked product in the world between workshops and tastings. From the 14 to the 16 June come back in Piazza dei Signori in Vicenza the event that promotes the culture of pizza, the training of its talents and the valorisation of Made in Italy.
The initiative was presented this morning by the councilor for economic development Cristina Balbi e by the president of the Pizza Excellence Association (AENEP) Francis Savarise who organizes the event.

An event to which we invite all citizens, because it will not only be an opportunity to indulge in excellent tastings, but also to discover the secrets of a typically Italian product that the world envies us, thanks to insights into the history and culture of pizza."
"Pizza without borders: increasingly a global restaurant experience". This is in fact the title of the debate that will be held on Sunday 16th June at 16pm in Vicenza, on the occasion of the second edition of the event “Pizza in the square”.
Three great master pizza chefs and a starred chef will be the protagonists of this event which aims to be an opportunity to discuss the most loved and well-known baked product in the world. The special guests of this debate will be: Enzo Coccia, of the pizzeria La Notizia (Naples), Luca Pezzetta, from the Clementina pizzeria (Rome), Renato The Forest, of the Renato Bosco pizzeria (San Martino Buon Albergo, Verona) and the starred chef Matteo Big of “Matteo Grandi in Basilica” (Vicenza). The meeting will be moderated by Francesca Riganati, strategic and communication consultant in food, former training manager for all Gambero Rosso schools.
«Pizza told in all its nuances. This is the objective of the debate we organized with the great professionals in the sector. - explains Francesco Savarise, president of AENP - We will start from the origins, with a story about the historical roots of pizza and then explore its styles, from the most classic to the new trends, including desserts! And then the figure of the pizza chefs, the true protagonists of the revolution in the world of white art. We will delve into a story of taste that will talk about creative gourmet toppings, luxury locations, new innovative formats and positioning. Our journey will then end outside the borders of the Bel Paese, to discover the variations of pizza in the world and the exciting future predictions."
To provide a framework for this debate “Pizza in the Square”, the three days organized by AENP, which from 14 to 16 June in the Square of the Lords in Vicenza will offer the opportunity for professionals and enthusiasts to discover the world of pizza up close, including interesting meetings and tastings.
The event will officially kick off on Friday 14 June with the inauguration at 16pm and will continue until 23.30pm.
Saturday 15 June and Sunday 16, From 11 in the morning until the evening event will be ready to welcome professionals, pizza lovers, citizens and tourists to let them enjoy excellent food, good music and meetings dedicated even to the little ones.
An unmissable event for all pizza lovers, which thanks to Pizza in Piazza they will be able to observe the greatest pizza chefs of the Veneto up close during the preparation of their creations. They will be in fact there will be 9 stations where the great names of white art will give vent to their creativity, in a live cooking show where the protagonists will be the most diverse doughs and signature toppings.

Pizza in Piazza, like last year, It aims to be three days of pure fun dedicated to everyone, including families. This year, however, the real news is dedicated to children. On Saturdays and Sundays they will be many surprises dedicated to the little ones which they will be personally involved through unprecedented experiences alongside the master pizza chefs
The three days in Vicenza However, it's not just fun, but also solidarity. In fact, alongside AENP e of master pizza chefs, there will also be a space dedicated to charities, to bring in the square the shared values of social commitment and collective participation.
Present, during all the days of the event, will be AISM Italian Multiple Sclerosis Association and Fidas (Italian Federation of Blood Donor Associations).
During the days of the festival, the public you will also be able to experience moments of leisure and entertainment thanks to live musical performances.
