Vicenza: Street Lab, three events dedicated to young people to actively transform their neighborhoods

Autumn opens with three events dedicated to the boys and girls of Vicenza, thanks to the project Street Lab born within the Plan of Interventions in the field of youth policies of the Veneto Region and coordinated in Vicenza by the Municipality of Vicenza and the Focus Giovani.

The events will offer boys and girls the opportunity to actively participate in the life of their neighborhoods. Street Lab is an initiative dedicated to young people from the 14 25 years for promote active participation in the transformation of neighborhoods of Vicenza putting young people at the center.

The project focuses on concrete interventions to regenerate public spaces, organize small events and involve young people in active citizenship projects, with the aim of making neighborhoods more livable and inclusive.

The neighborhoods involved are Santa Croce Bigolina, Pond e San Bortolo.

SCruz Tournaments - September 21st and 22nd, 2024

On the occasion of the 49th Autumn Festival of Santa Croce Bigolina, SCruz Youth Center (strada del Tormeno 35) will be the scene of the SCruz Tournaments, an event that not only celebrates sports, but also the renewal of the spaces of the neighborhood's community center. Thanks to the Street Lab project, the basketball and soccer fields of the center have been regenerated with new fences, lines and baskets, in addition to the repair of soccer goals and the purchase of balls and jerseys, which will remain available to the young people of the center.

Saturday 21rd September from 15.30 am to 18.30 pm the volleyball tournament will be held, while Sunday September 22 from 15.30 am to 18.30 pm the basketball tournament.

Lagorà in Festa - September 21, 2024

Il Lagora Center di Pond (via Lago di Pusiano 3) will be the protagonist of a neighborhood party, with activities ranging from sports to creativity, from food to music. A day designed to involve young people and families in moments of leisure and socialization. The event will open at 15 with the soccer tournament organized by the NOI Laghetto Club, accompanied, for lovers of games and video games, by the Smash Bros tournament curated by Victory Road - FRIPLAY!.

Starting from 16, ie the participants will be able to give free rein to their creativity with the workshop of Art Toys driven by The Duke Silvano. To follow, at 17, it will be the turn of the Ceramics laboratory proposed by Aleop to experiment with ceramic modeling. Starting from 19 the food truck will be present Pep's Burger and background music to contribute to the atmosphere of conviviality and socialization.

ADD and Emotional Intelligence Workshop - October 19th and 20th, 2024

At the former Milk Factory of Vicenza, the 19 20 and October, a workshop will be held that combines sport and personal growth. Thanks to the discipline of ADD (Art of Displacement), young participants will be involved in physical exercises and activities aimed at developing emotional intelligence, thus improving awareness of space, self, and emotions.
