Vicenza, on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the Poet's death, Bertoliana thinks of its young readers and offers them a fun and colorful Dante.
From 25 to 27 October, in all city locations, it organizes three days of drawing workshops with Marco Somà, a Piedmontese illustrator with a fervent imagination, winner of the 2019 Andersen Prize, author of the panels of "The Divine Comedy. The first step in the dark forest” written by Daniele Aristarco (Einaudi Ragazzi).
Somà will propose a workshop, "Travel Notebook: with Dante in the Dark Forest", which involves the construction of a small leporello (accordion booklet) which will describe in images Dante's journey to discover some moments of Hell, Purgatory and of Paradise. Paper, pencils and markers will be used. The workshop, suitable for children aged 9 to 11 years, will be preceded by a brief introduction and will last approximately an hour and a half.
In the morning the workshops are reserved for schools: October 25th at 10am in the Laghetto headquarters, October 26th at 9am and 11am in Palazzo Costantini and October 27th at 9.30am in Villa Tacchi.
In the afternoon, however, they are open to a maximum number of 10 children upon reservation: on 25 October at 16.30 pm at the Villaggio del Sole headquarters (reservation required: vsole.bertoliana@comune.vicenza.it); on 26 October at 16.30pm in Anconetta (reservations required anconetta.bertoliana@comune.vicenza.it); on October 27th at 16.30pm in Riviera Berica (reservations required rberica.bertoliana@comune.vicenza.it).
Somà's presence in Vicenza also becomes an opportunity for a meeting open to all, organized on Tuesday 26 October at 20.30 pm in the Laghetto headquarters, entitled "How to become an illustrator". It will be an opportunity for a discussion between the illustrator and the students of ENGIM Veneto who created the mural of the children's section of the new headquarters in Laghetto, decorated with a drawing by the artist taken from the book published by Einaudi Ragazzi in 2019 "L' infinite – Giacomo Leopardi”. Entry is free until all available places are available and subject to the presentation of the Covid-19 green certification (green pass).
