Verona: three days of meetings focused on the theme of drugs, the initiative is entitled 'Talk a Veronetta in piazza Santa Toscana. The disvalue of drugs'.

Il Drug use is on the rise even in our city and in a very transversal way. Theme at the center of a three-day meeting scheduled for Tuesdays 17 and 24 September and 1 October in Piazza XVI Ottobre. The initiative, entitled 'Talk a
Veronetta in Piazza Santa Toscana. The disvalue of drugs' is curated by the Fevoss – Santa Toscana Association as part of the activities of the Edicola Sociale and in collaboration with the 1st District and the Department of Security and Legality of the Municipality of Verona.

The program of information evenings, all starting at 18pm, was presented this morning by the Security Councillor Stefania Zivelonghi together with the President of the Social Commission of the 1st District Andrea Avanzi and Sandra Zangiacomi of the Fevoss Santa Toscana association.

“Veronetta is one of the most beautiful places in the city, increasingly at the centre of the Administration's initiatives – highlights the councilor Stefania Zivelonghi –. Starting today and for the whole weekend the neighborhood will be animated by the festivity of Tocatì, but our action does not stop here. This occasion represents a different point of observation of the phenomenon of drug dealing and illegality consequent that increasingly afflicts our cities. Different subjects will meet around an ideal table, open to the community, to address the complex issue of drug dealing from the perspective of the demand and consumption of drugs and the related consequences”.

“We are pleased to have contributed to this initiative which deals in a very detailed way with an increasingly widespread and worrying problem – Andrea Avanzi specifies –. The choice of Piazza XVI Ottobre is not accidental and we hope that a constructive debate can be opened with the citizens. These will be meetings that include a moment of conviviality at the end of the works, with a view to animating the spaces of our city with positive actions”.
