Verona, the “La Bella Verona 2024” Award to the Angels of Beauty for urban decorum.

They clean monuments from graffiti, keep the city's green areas clean, and make schools and public places more beautiful with maintenance work. They are the Angels of Beauty, the tireless volunteers of the association of the same name who for almost ten years have been working to decorate the urban area and to transmit this civic sense to the Veronese but also to the many tourists and visitors who come to the city.

The second edition of the 'La Bella Verona' Award goes to the association and its volunteers for the commendable work carried out in recent years. The judging committee of the award unanimously decided this today, which met to evaluate the proposals received for the 2024 call for proposals announced by the Association of Emeritus Councilors of the Municipality of Verona, a broad participation that highlights the great interest of the community towards the theme of the beauty of the city.

The award ceremony with the motivation and the delivery of the prize will be held in the Arazzi room of the town hall Saturday 30 November on the occasion of the symbolic anniversary of the recognition of Verona City World Heritage Site by UNESCO awarded in the year 2000.

The judging commission is composed of the president Paola Marini, art historian, former Director of the Castelvecchio Museum, Stefano Vallani, president of the City Council, Massimo Mamoli, director of the newspaper L'Arena, Francesca Tamellini, Giorgio Gabanizza and Francesco Girondini, of the Association of Emeritus Councilors, Daniela Cavallo, Architect and Professor of Territorial Marketing, and Luigi Carlon, winner of the first edition of the prize for the Casa Museo Palazzo Maffei.

The session was opened by greetings from the President of the Association of Emeritus Councilors, Silvano Zavetti.
